Farmer’s Market In Jacksonport Opens Year 15 at Lakeside Park

The Jacksonport Farmer’s Market will open for the 2023 season at beautiful Lakeside Park on Tuesday morning, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market runs every Tuesday morning through October 17, 2023. This is the 15th season for the abundant Market.

For your information, Jacksonport has no post office so the GPS address is listed as 6296 Lake Park Dr., Sturgeon Bay, WI. We get calls for this information every season!

The annual Door County Cherry Pie and Ice Cream Social at the Farmers Market, sponsored by the Jacksonport Women’s Club, will be held on Tuesday, July 11, this year.

We are delighted that Karen Mal and Isaiah Spetz and friends will alternate with live music at our market as the weather warms in late May and throughout the summer market season. Polkaman, Dale Graf, will play. The Birch Creek Jazz Ambassadors will also make appearances.

The market, held in downtown Jacksonport, features over 30 vendors this season. Half of our vendors feature food items. Many local Door County produce growers display and sell a wide variety of fresh garden fare each week. Fruits and vegetables, bedding and garden plants and cut flowers vary with the season and there will be a rotating variety available throughout the summer and fall.

The market also features locally made sourdough bread and baked goods with something to please every shopper. Locally produced honey and maple syrup are available along with fresh Door County Whitefish and smoked fish, cheese, eggs, meat, fresh pasta and a variety of jams and jellies. Grab and Go food, snacks and beverages will also be available weekly.

Area craftspeople showcase a wide variety of hand-crafted Door County gifts, purses, pillows, jewelry, clothing and accessories. Several well-known wood workers are featured. You’ll find a great selection of hand-made soaps, trivets and coasters, cards, candles, alpaca products, Door County Pit Pacs, children’s books and many interesting gifts and items for the home.

We are pleased to welcome Birnschein Meats to the Market this season.

They will be serving cooked brats, burgers, hot dogs & BBQ pulled pork sandwiches but will also have 14 different flavor brats that are frozen along with other frozen beef, poultry and pork products.

United Way will be back sponsoring the Door County Food Share Program. The Door Community Compost Initiative will also return with their display and sale of compost buckets for their expanding community compost program.

You’re invited to come outside and enjoy your Tuesday mornings at Lakeside Park on the Lake Michigan shoreline at the Jacksonport Farmer’s Market. It’s a great opportunity for you and your family and guests to patronize Door County’s market vendors and local businesses. We appreciate your support! Your family will also enjoy our awesome sand beach, modern bathrooms/changing area and picnic/play area.

The Jacksonport Farmer’s Market is sponsored by the Jacksonport Area Business Association.
