CAVE POINT COUNTY PARK *
Picturesque shoreline cliffs on Lake Michigan located within Whitefish Dunes
State Park. Picnic tables, grills, rest
rooms. A few miles south of Jacksonport.
ERSKINE REST AREA
Corner of Hwy 57 and County V in
downtown Jacksonport. Site of restored Erskine Root Cellar, historical
site open to the public Maifest and
Cherryfest weekends.
LAKESIDE
PARK *
Hwy 57 in downtown Jacksonport. Beautiful sand
beach, children’s play area, 2 covered picnic shelters,
charcoal grills, rest rooms.
MERIDIAN
PARK
Wayside located on 45th parallel exactly
halfway between the equator and
the North Pole on Highway 57 between Jacksonport and Baileys Harbor.
SCHAUER PARK / BOAT
RAMP
Located at Clark Lake RD and
Schauer Road on Lake
Michigan South of
Jacksonport. Open for use when water levels allow - boat launch is
currently not available due to low water levels.
WHITEFISH DUNES STATE PARK *
3701 Clark Lake RD. (County WD) 920-823-2400
Park opens daily 8 AM - 8 PM. Office open daily 8 AM - 4:00 PM .
Over 1 mile of beautiful sand beach, 2 miles of rocky shore, 14 1/2 miles
hiking trails, office/nature center, picnic area, weekly interpretive
programs during summer months, groomed cross country ski trails in winter,
annual winter candlelight ski, volunteer "Friends of Whitefish Dunes"
group.
